"In The Face of Adversity, a Companions Love is a Powerful Anchor"- Serenity Paws
Project Recovery
Health, Stability, Connection, Empowerment
An ongoing initiative that facilitates recovery from substance use disorders by providing care for pets and service animals while their owners undergo treatment.
Our organization has established a highly successful and impactful program that provides a safe haven for animals during their owners’ detox and treatment, preventing rehoming, abandonment, and euthanasia—especially for vulnerable, unhoused, and unemployed individuals.
With up to 90 days of free boarding, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, nutrition, grooming, and transportation, we ensure pets are cared for with compassion and expertise.
We go beyond basic care by integrating comprehensive aftercare and employment support, such as paid ride shares and job placement through our partner, Serenity Paws, to foster long-term stability for both pets and their owners.
Our holistic approach not only safeguards animals but also empowers individuals to regain independence, successfully reintegrate into the community, and keep their beloved pets, ultimately strengthening community resilience and promoting responsible pet ownership.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
